Eugene Polevoy

Founder and Managing Partner

Eugene has a deep-rooted passion for building businesses. Over the past 15 years, Eugene has helped create value at several companies as a founder, investor, board member, and partner to management teams.

Prior to founding Blue C Capital, Eugene spent a decade at two of Canada’s most successful private equity firms, having gained experience in various consumer and business service verticals as an investor and board member. Most recently, at Imperial Capital, Eugene was responsible for the successful investment and exit of Frontier Service Partners, which generated a gross multiple of capital of 2.4x in just over two years and a gross IRR of 55%.

Eugene joined Imperial in 2021 from ONCAP (Onex Corporation’s Middle Market Private Equity Fund), where he was a Director. Prior to joining ONCAP, Eugene was with BMO Capital Markets as an Investment Banking Associate in their Mergers & Acquisitions group.

Eugene received his Master of Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University, his Juris Doctor with a Concentration in Corporate and Securities Law from Western Law and his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from York University, graduating Summa Cum Laude.

Sam Kogan

Managing Partner

Sam has been an avid investor professionally and personally for over a decade, and has been actively involved in the investment and value creation process at numerous organizations.

Prior to joining Blue C Capital, Sam was a principal at Peloton Capital Management and was involved in the firm’s investments and value creation activities in 123Dentist, The Fertility Partners, EHN Canada, Victoria Park Medispa, and Trilogy Financial Services.

Prior to Peloton, Sam spent four years at Onex Partners where he gained experience in the healthcare, retail, consumer products and services, and financial services sectors, and was involved in five transactions with a total enterprise value of over $3.3B.

Sam started his career in investment banking at TD’s M&A group and also briefly worked as an interim CFO of a property maintenance company.

Sam holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (with Distinction) from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Bachelor of Mathematics (with Distinction) from the University of Waterloo.
